This is the link to the PDF of the Alaska Housing Finance Corporation. You can use this form to apply to be added to the public housing waitlist or a housing voucher. A housing voucher reduces the cost of rent you pay. Voucher holders usually pay around 30% of their income.

• Sitka Homeless Coalition offers free meal at Lakeside on Tuesdays from 4pm-5pm at the deli. 
• Sitkans Against Family Violence (SAFV) offers free food boxes. Call 907-747- 3370, no requirements
• Salvation Army offers lunch 11:30am-12:30pm Monday - Friday

Use this website to see if you can request a replacement card. This process can be complicated since there is not a SS office in Sitka. You can fill out the following application, include your ID (original, no copies accepted) and mail it to:

• SAIL can offer limited financial assistance
• Use this form to apply for utility subsidization through the city by October 31st. 

• Sitka Tribe of Alaska offers an array of services and programs for tribal members. 
• Sitkans Against Family Violence provides shelter and services to individuals and families dealing with domestic violence/sexual assault 
• Southeast Independent Living offers programs and services for seniors and people with disabilities
• Youth Advocates of Sitka offers services for youth as well as youth housing
